ITINERARY
Day 0. Hanoi → Ha Giang [sleeper bus]
The evening before your tour, we will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi around 10 PM using a comfortable sleeper bus and transport you to Ha Giang City.
Upon your arrival, expected at approximately 6 AM, our team will be ready to welcome you. Enjoy breakfast and/or coffee, and feel free to change into more comfortable attire if desired, before setting off. For those opting to self-ride, there will be a designated period to familiarize themselves with the vehicle.

Day 1. Ha Giang → Quan Ba → Lung Cu → Dong Van [135km]
Leaving Ha Giang, we immerse ourselves in the breathtaking mountain landscape. The journey takes us over the Quan Ba Pass, also known as Heaven’s Gate. Take a brief hike to Heaven Gate to enjoy the beautiful scenery, from here, you have a panoramic view of the Tam Son valley, including the Twin Mountains or ‘fairy bosom’. Along the route, we’ll make several stops to observe the local life of the H’mong people, including visits to traditional blacksmiths and rice field workers.
After enjoying lunch in Yen Minh, we explore the magnificent Vuong Palace, constructed by the French in the Chinese-H’Mong style for a local H’Mong king. Our journey then takes us to the northernmost point of Vietnam, distinguished by the iconic Lung Cu flag tower. The 54-square-meter flag waving atop the tower symbolizes the 54 official nationalities of Vietnam.
At the end of the day we arrive in Dong Van, offering the opportunity to wander through the night market and savor local cuisine in the historic quarter. Overnight in hotel.

Day 2. Dong Van → Ma Pi Leng Pass → Tu San Canyon → Meo Vac → Du Gia
The road between Dong Van and Meo Vac is considerd the most beautiful part of the loop and the Ma Pi Leng Pass might just be the reason for that! This stunning mountain route takes you to an impressive 2000m altitude. At the summit, enjoy a coffee break with breathtaking views of the pass, cliffs, valleys, rice paddies, and the turquoise Nho Que River winding through the Tu San Canyon. Descending, we embark on a delightful river boat journey through the majestic canyon cliffs. A stop at a secluded beach awaits, offering a chance to enjoy a refreshing drink and dip into the clear waters.
Enjoy lunch in Meo Vac. On our way to Du Gia, we explore a culturally rich village inhabited by five ethnic minorities: Dao, Tay, H’mong, Kinh and Lo Lo people. Our overnight stay at a Tay family-run homestay includes a delightful family-style dinner.

Day 3. Du Gia → Du Gia Waterfall → Bac Me → Ha Giang City
In the morning, we’ll witness daily life of the hilltribe villagers with farming and handicrafts. After breakfast, we head to Du Gia Waterfall for swimming and cliffdiving. Next, we visit the Lung Khuy cave, known in northern Vietnam for its impressive height and rich display of stalagmites and stalactites.
On our way back to Ha Giang, we savor breathtaking views of valleys adorned with lush rice paddies. The tour concludes with a brief sightseeing excursion in Ha Giang.
At around 9:30 PM, we will assist you in boarding the sleeper bus back to Hanoi. Expect to arrive in Hanoi around 6 AM.
