ITINERARY
Day 1. Ha Noi [Arrival]
Arrival in Ha Noi. We welcome and transfer you to hotel at 6 pm and you are followed by a group dinner at restaurant. If you arrive before the official start of your tour, there’s a wealth of activities to explore. Rest of the day is your leisure time to explore the city on your own.

Day 2: Halong Bay
Travel by private minibus to World Heritage-listed Halong Bay, is adorned with sandy coves, mystical grottoes, and 1600 limestone islands shaped by the forces of wind and water over countless centuries (approximately 4 hours). Board a private boat and cruise the bay, discovering the wonders of Surprise Cave and, during the warmer months, relishing the opportunity for a refreshing swim at Ti Top Island Beach.

Day 3: Halong bay – Ha Noi [Overnight train]
Wake up on the waters of Halong Bay. Before bidding farewell to the unforgettable landscapes, make one final stop. The Green Life Centre is dedicated to converting Halong Bay’s discarded items into treasures, skillfully crafting beautiful handicrafts from collected waste. Meet the passionate team behind this meaningful initiative and discover the art of transforming trash into a practical and reusable bag. Following your visit, return to Hanoi by bus (approximately 3.5 hours). Arrive in the late afternoon and relish free time until your night train journey.

Day 4. Hue
Arrive in Hue at around 11 am and transfer to the hotel. Once the imperial capital of Vietnam, Hue safeguards the treasures of the nation’s regal history. Enjoy the morning, free time to relax or explore.
Join the group in the afternoon to explore the war-damaged ruins of the Imperial Citadel, an extensive city-within-a-city housing the remnants of temples, government buildings, and the emperor’s palace.

Day 5. Hue
Experience Hue like a local – from the seat of a motorbike! Straddle the saddle and zip through the city with a local guide, taking in both historical and contemporary sights along the way. Stop at Thanh Toan to admire the 18th-century covered bridge and observe villagers at their local market. Explore the active Buddhist monastery, Thien Mu Pagoda, dating back to the 17th century. Indulge in a vegetarian feast at a nunnery for lunch. End of the adventure at the lakeside royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc before returning to the city.

Day 6: Hoi An
Morning, journey by bus through coastal rice paddies and the breathtaking Hai Van Pass (approximately 3 hours).
Arrive into Hoi An, recently declared a World Heritage site. Upon arrival, your leader will guide you on a walking tour through the Old Town, visiting some of the city’s prominent attractions. You will also receive a sightseeing pass to explore select attractions further at your leisure. Today, various parts of the town remain beautifully preserved, offering a glimpse into its historical charm. It has also earned a reputation as a shopping paradise, renowned for its abundance of tailor shops.

Day 7: Hoi An [leisure]
Today is your leisure time to explore the city on your own. Hoi An is renowned for its delectable local cuisine, so be sure to savor a meal at a riverside restaurant or even participate in a cooking class.

Day 8: Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh City
Today take a early morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City (approximately 1.5 hours). Ho Chi Minh City is arguably Vietnam’s capital of commerce and culture. Upon arrival, embark on a bus tour to explore the city. Cruise by notable landmarks like the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Opera House. Make a stop at the War Remnants Museum to discover some of the sobering stories of the 20-year-long Vietnam/American War.

Day 9: Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City
This morning, embark on a day trip to explore the Mekong Delta. Board a private boat to Ben Tre, visit coconut gardens, and taste tropical fruits and coconut jams at a local home. Paddle in sampans past coconut trees, take a tuk-tuk tour to learn about rural life and coconut product industries, and enjoy lunch at a Delta restaurant. Cruise back to Ben Tre boat pier and return to Ho Chi Minh City by bus. In the evening, consider sampling local specialties as a farewell with fellow travelers and the leader.
