ITINERARY
Day-tour: Hue
We welcome you at the hotel and initiate the journey to explore Hue city. Established as the capital of unified Vietnam in 1802, Hue was not only the political but also the cultural and religious center under the Nguyen dynasty until 1945.
Morning:
We start the day-tour of Hue by getting a boat trip to Thien Mu Pagoda and learning of the horrific history of the Hue Buddhist massacre. We continue our visit at the Imperial Citadel, home of Vietnam’s last royal dynasty – the Nguyen Dynasty and Hue Royal Antiques Museum, houses a captivating collection of ornaments from the Nguyen dynasty. After that, visit Dong Ba Market and have lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon:
After lunch, visit the tomb of King “Minh Mang” and Tomb of King “Khai Dinh”. Proceed with our tour at a nearby village where people are making incense sticks and conical hats. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the skilled craftsmanship involved in creating the iconic conical hat, an integral part of Vietnamese culture.
After a day filled with exploration and immersion in the rich culture and history of Hue, you will be comfortably transported back to your hotel in Hue City.
