ITINERARY
Day 1. Hanoi → Lang Son
Pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi around 8:30 AM. After securing your luggage to the motorbike and donning protective gear, we’re set to explore the northwest of Vietnam on an exciting motorbike adventure.
On our way to Lang Son, pass through scenic rice fields. Pause to discover the process of making sesame rice paper and taste custard apples fresh from the orchard. Visit a plywood factory for insights into its production. Upon arrival in Lang Son at the end of the day, explore the Nhi Thang cave and Tam Thanh pagoda.

Day 2. Lang Son → Ban Gioc Waterfall → Phia Thap
After breakfast, we head to the famous Ban Gioc Waterfall. It’s the fourth largest waterfall in the world that spans two countries (Vietnam and China).
Our route then takes us to Phuc Sen village, where we observe local craftspeople skillfully crafting traditional farm tools by hand. We also witness the H’Mong people producing incense. Before reaching Phia Thap village, we explore the impressive Nguom Ngao cave, one of Vietnam’s expansive cave systems. In Phia Thap, we stay with a Tay family, where we delve into their culture and savor a delightful family dinner.

Day 3. Phia Thap → Angel Eyes Mountain → Ma Pia Pass → Bao Lac
After breakfast, we ride through the scenic Vietnamese countryside. On the way, we visit the Nung people and see how they make rice vermicelli. Our route leads to Angel Eyes Mountain (Nui Thung), featuring a stunning 50-meter hole at its core.
Heading to Cao Bang, we visit Tay, Nung, and H’mong villages. After lunch, we conquer the challenging Me Pia Pass with 15 hairpin turns, offering a magnificent viewpoint of northeast Vietnam. We end the day in Bao Lac, where we overnight in a homestay.

Day 4. Bao Lac → Meo Vac → Tu San Canyon → Ma Pi Leng Pass → Dong Van
In the morning, we ride the winding mountain roads to Meo Vac, marking our entry into the renowned Ha Giang Loop. After Meo Vac, we descend to the turquoise Nho Que River winding through the Tu San Canyon. Descending, we embark on a delightful river boat journey through the majestic canyon cliffs. A stop at a secluded beach awaits, offering a chance to enjoy a refreshing drink and dip into the clear waters. Returning to higher ground, we enjoy coffee at the summit, taking in panoramic views.
The road between Dong Van and Meo Vac is considerd the most beautiful part of the loop and the Ma Pi Leng Pass might just be the reason for that! This stunning mountain route takes you to an impressive 2000m altitude. At the end of the day we arrive in Dong Van, offering the opportunity to wander through the night market and savor local cuisine in the historic quarter.

Day 5. Dong Van → Quan Ba → Tham Ma Pass → Ha Giang City
After breakfast, we hit the road for another exciting day exploring the Dong Van Karst Plateau, a UNESCO Global Geopark. Our journey kicks off with a visit to the splendid Vuong Palace, a French-built masterpiece in Chinese-H’Mong style for a local H’Mong king. Next, we pause at the Tham Ma mountain pass, where you’ll meet H’Mong children in traditional clothing.
On our way back to Ha Giang, we savor breathtaking views of valleys adorned with lush rice paddies. The tour concludes with a brief sightseeing excursion in Ha Giang.
At around 9:30 PM, we will assist you in boarding the sleeper bus back to Hanoi. Expect to arrive in Hanoi around 6 AM.
